Posted in Uncategorized on 08/30/2010 08:21 am by seozaAffiliate When I was first learning how to MLM, I found that it was always better to get the name and number of the contact that I was talking to in conjunction with giving them my card, rather than simply handing off my business card, hoping that they would call me. I was smacked hard at first with the reality that the fortune is in the follow up. My biggest mistake when learning how to MLM was not following up like crazy with both new prospects and with current customers.
In the beginning, often times individuals whom I was talking with did not call me back, even though they might have been interested. Had I done a simple follow-up call with them, I could have scheduled an appointment with them and recruited many more people in my business. I also learned that it is much easier to sell to an existing customer than it is to get a new customer. This was a big eye-opener for me. In the initial stages of learning how to MLM, I did not follow up with my customers, because to me, hearing no news from them was good news. Had I taken the time to follow-up, I would have retained many more customers. I also would have sold them a greater number of products if they were happy with the current ones that they were taking.
